First of all, this anti-blemish treatment acts directly on the microbial flora which colonizes the epidermis and which can prove to be an ally or an adversary depending on the nature of its population. The active ingredient Lysine Dendrimer, derived from corn fermentation, targets the C. Acnes bacteria. The latter, naturally present in the skin microbiome, is useful for the breakdown of sebum but can become particularly uncontrollable and colonize the sebaceous glands when the latter are very active, particularly at puberty. Lysine Dendrimer inhibits this bacterial overactivity, thereby reducing inflammation.
